I would like to introduce a new feature that could be revolutionary for how citizens and elected officials work together to build community, the City of International Falls Feedback Survey, or CIFFS ;) for short.
This comes from 6 years of experience of communicating with the public during tumultuous times during my time serving on the ISD 361 School board and Chairperson for 3 years and recognizing the pitfalls that come from a “one to many” communication method. I also believe politicians, like all people, get stuck in an echo chamber due to limited social circles and online routines.
Of course, you can always contact the International Falls City Council the normal ways too by visiting, https://www.ci.international-falls.mn.us/government/city-council/ If this new feature ends up not being productive to the goal of community building, I will modify it or take it down completely. I truly want this to be a force for positive change. Give it a try
