The International Falls Snowmobile Club, also known as the International Voyageurs Snowmobile Club, is a vibrant community of snowmobile enthusiasts based in the International Falls/Rainy Lake area of Northern Minnesota. The club maintains an extensive network of 158 miles of groomed trails which they take great pride in, considering them to be among the best maintained, most scenic, and most interesting trails in the Midwest. They welcome visitors to explore these trails and look forward to engaging with many snowmobilers over the years.
The club is not only about riding but also about community and giving back. They host a variety of events, the notable among them being the Annual Falls International Speed Run Against Cancer. This event, which marked its 14th occurrence in 2024, serves as an annual fundraiser organized by the club in conjunction with Thunderbird Lodge, aimed at supporting local cancer patients. The event includes a speed run, which is scheduled at Thunderbird Lodge on Rainy Lake, showcasing a blend of community engagement and a noble cause. Moreover, the International Voyageurs Snowmobile Club holds monthly meetings at the VFW Post 2948 banquet room in International Falls, every 3rd Tuesday of each month, creating a platform for members to connect, plan, and discuss club matters. The club also educates riders on the importance of trail grooming and the necessary 'set up' time required for freshly groomed trails to re-freeze to ensure long-term trail sustainability. Through these activities and guidelines, the club fosters a sense of responsibility and camaraderie among its members while promoting the joy of snowmobiling in the beautiful terrains of Northern Minnesota.
