Koochiching Aging Options is a non-profit organization that serves older adults and their families in Koochiching County, Minnesota. Its mission is to promote the independence, dignity and health of all of the county’s older residents. It offers various services, programs and resources to help seniors and caregivers meet their needs and challenges.
Some of the services that Koochiching Aging Options provides are: Groceries to You!, a program that delivers groceries to homebound seniors; Caregiver Consultant/Dementia Support Specialist, a program that assists those who are helping an older county resident with cognitive issues; Good Visit Program, a program that links volunteers with socially isolated individuals for friendly visitation; and Memory Café, a social gathering place for those living with memory loss and their care partners.
Koochiching Aging Options also provides information and referral to other service providers in the county, such as transportation, home health care, legal assistance, nutrition, housing and more. It works with other community partners and agencies to raise awareness and support for the needs of older adults. It welcomes donations and volunteers to sustain its mission and vision.
